Guaranteed Safety of On-Line Payments
Guaranteed Safety of On-Line Payments
Dear Sir/Madam,
eCard Logo
If you suspect that using your pay card with this on-line transaction might lead to interception of the card No. by some unauthorized persons, or you wonder whether the store where you are going to shop is reliable enough, or simply, you are not sure whether you could incur some indefinite financial loss while shopping on the Internet – then you should read this text which will convince you that the Internet is the safest place to use the eCard S.A. pay card – thanks to the eCard Internet System.
The eCard System is authorized by the Visa and Europay (Mastercard) organizations that issued your pay cards. The system has been built basing on standards of those organizations.
The eCard System is based on the most advanced and one of the most popular global systems for payment authorization and service, built by IBM.
The system for on-line transaction service is compliant with SET and SET/MIA (Merchant Initiated Authorization) standards that include the highest level of on-line transaction securities applied globally. The software used for its construction has a SET compliance certificate issued by the company SETco.
Communications between Client and eCard system servers is always carried in a safe way, with the use of a 128-bit SSL protocol, or with the use of the SET standard (if Client holds an appropriate banking certificate).
Every e-shop operating under the eCard System has a unique SET certificate which allows its complete identification, correct financial settlements, and it prevents against impersonation of the shop by anybody else.
Communications between the eCard System and banking systems are carried out with the use of the SET standard.
The shop is not at risk of any theft of pay card data, and it does not need to engage its own funds in data protection because the data are entered through a safe form directly on the eCard S.A. server.
To sum up, from the very beginning, that is from the moment of being entered in the form included on the web page, your pay card data are encoded and secured. Neither the on-line shop, nor any internet service provider, nor any person surfing on the Internet have access to the data. The data reach the bank in an absolutely safe way, and they are not endangered to theft. Thanks to that, the Internet becomes a place where the use of a pay card is much more safe than in the „real world”, e.g. in a restaurant or in a filling station.
First name and surname
The first name and surname should be the same as those quoted on the pay card.
Type of Card
Under the eCard system, it is possible to authorize transactions made with Visa Int. and Europapay/Master Card Int. system cards. Mainly, authorization is possible with embossed and virtual cards. Visa Electron electronic debit cards are authorized or not, depending on the issuing bank. To learn whether a specific electronic card is accepted on the Internet, please contact with the bank issuer of the card.
Card No.
Sixteen-digit number placed on a pay card, or on a bank slip – for some virtual cards.
Expiry Date
Expiry date follows the sequence: month, year.
CVV2/CVC2 Code
CVV2 code (for cards under the Visa Int. system) and CVC2 code (for cards under the Europay/MasterCard Int. system) includes three last digits after the card number, printed on the signature strip on the back of the card, or on any other carrier used for transmission of card data. The code provides additional protection for transactions made without physical presence of a card (transactions on-line, by telephone, or postal orders). It is placed only on the card and within the authorization system of the issuing bank. It is not placed on only transaction receipts printed from POS terminals.
